Garbage Pickup


ABC Disposal Systems is our trash service provider.


Garbage Pick-up Service is included in your monthly HOA Dues.

There is no need to start service with them and the below information is to help you with questions.

 - Please note: We do not have separate recycling pickup.





PLEASE NOTE: Garbage should be set at the curb by 5:00 a.m. every Tuesday.

When a holiday falls on the regular pickup day, the collections will be one day later.

(ex: Fourth of July falls on a Tuesday, ABC will pick up on Wednesday that week) *subject to change.


 - Standard Routine: All trash and recyclable materials should be placed together in the ABC provided container. 


 - Placement: The container needs to be placed in your driveway or grassy area adjacent to the street with lids facing the street.

Please leave at least 3 feet of space between container and ensure 6 feet of clearance from obstacles such as mailboxes, vehicles, and obstructions.


 - Garbage Requirements: All garbage must be bagged before placing in container. However, large cardboard items may be placed directly inside the container. They will not pick up anything that is not in the containers.


 - Storage: To ensure the community remains clean and orderly, please keep your new dumpsters stored inside your garage.



NOT ACCEPTED:

  • Appliances & water heaters
  • Concrete
  • Corrosive materials including batteries & drain cleaners
  • Explosives including ammunition, propane cylinders & tanks
  • Fluorescent lamps
  • Hazardous waste – i.e. antifreeze or other liquid chemicals
  • Ignitable materials, solvents
  • Liquid Paint
  • Pesticides
  • Scrap metal
  • Tires
  • Untreated medical waste
  • Yard waste





DISPOSAL OF RECYCLING AND WASTE NOT IDENTIFIED ABOVE


The Disposal and/or recycling of Items not picked up by ABC, are at the expense and responsibility of you, (the Owner.) 


We are providing you the following information, as well as, a link to the Linn County – Marion and Cedar Rapids Solid Waste Agency, as an alternate site for recycling and disposal.


Note: They do not pick your items up. You must deliver your items to their facility. Some of the items they accept are: Batteries and Bulbs, Electronics, Hazardous materials (such as Paint or Cleaners), Appliances, Tires, Scrap Metal and Clothing. 


(Please visit their web site or contact them by phone or in person, regarding their hours of operation, questions you may have about the items you need to recycle or dispose of, a complete list of the items they accept, as well as, the fees they charge. Charges are very reasonable and in some cases there is no charge at all.)
